Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is a comprehensive and evidence-based scientific intervention that is essential and integrated into basic treatment. Physiotherapy is applied either in the treatment area, or in the fully equipped area of our gym.

Bobath method

This method is a comprehensive approach to the rehabilitation of neurological diseases (stroke and other diseases of the central nervous system). It is based on the principles of normal movement and normal postural reactions. Its aim is to restore and improve motor control, function and body posture. Learning and recovering lost mobility.

Joint mobilization techniques

These techniques consist of gentle manipulations that are applied specifically for each case and to each patient. Their goal is to restore the musculoskeletal system to its normal mobility. This method includes the mobilization of joints, muscles, tendons and nervous tissue and aims to:

  • pain reduction
  • increase in orbital motion
  • reduction of muscle spasm
  • improving the quality of movement

Exercises with the Clinical Pilates method

An important field of training in our area as it not only activates the muscle groups, but also prevents injuries. This method is also safe in post-operative restorations.

P.N.F. method

Neuromuscular Facilitation Proprioceptive Techniques cause energy to be reflected from stronger muscle groups to weaker ones. This method stimulates the sensors that feed the brain with information about the posture and movement of the body, resulting in the facilitation of normal movement. The handles used stimulate the skin receptors and provide information to the patient about the correct direction of movement. The human brain creates and organizes motor patterns. Its aim is therefore to improve the motor skills of the entire body.

Mackenzie method

Important therapeutic technique with the use of which evaluation and treatment of diseases of the spine and beyond is carried out. The treatment is unique to each patient and with its use the pain in the spine is reduced or eliminated and the patient’s range of motion is improved.

Respiratory physical therapy

It is a form of physical therapy used in patients with chronic respiratory problems. This method, using special exercises and techniques, improves pulmonary ventilation, reduces respiratory work and cleans the bronchi. It is used in order to improve the quality of life of those suffering from chronic bronchitis, asthma, emphysema and cystic fibrosis.
